About the Mission Hill BrassMission Hill Brass is St. Albert's own British-Style Brass Band. Co- founded in 2005 by A. Daniel Skepple, Jr. and Dr. Gordon Russell of St. Albert Mission Hill Brass was created to appeal to all ages with a concert repertoire that would include all aspects of popular music plus classic brass band repertoire. Starting with 12 members in 2005 Mission Hill has grown to a full complement of 28 members and full instrumentation including a full schedule each season. On December 08, 2009 Mission Hill Brass performed for the first time at the Francis Winspear Music Centre in Edmonton, Alberta as part of "The Coming of the Lord" Christmas concert with The King's University College (Edmonton, AB) music department and on April 08, 2010 the band headlined its first solo concert "Mission Hill Brass and Friends" at the Winspear Centre. Mission Brass brings the rich heritage of St. Albert together with the rich tradition of the British Brass Band
